Free Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
Preparing children for school and lifelong success.
Wee Discover is proud to offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) in partnership with Great Start Collaborative–Oakland. GSRP is a free, high-quality pre-K program that uses research-based curriculum to help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The program is certified as very high quality by the Early Childhood Investment Corporation, giving families confidence in their child’s early learning experience.
Who Is Eligible
Children must be four years old on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year to enroll. GSRP offers half-day and full-day options, and as part of the program we are committed to ensuring all children under age five receive routine developmental screenings to support healthy growth and early intervention when needed.

Community & Classroom Fun
Learning at Wee Discover extends far beyond the classroom. Through themed celebrations, hands-on activities, and community engagement, we make every season special and meaningful for our students.
Classroom Parties
From Valentine’s Day to St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween, we bring holidays to life through crafts, games, and connection.
Special Attire Days
From Wacky Hair Day to Rodeo Week, we make learning fun with themed dress-up days tied to events, holidays, and weekly lessons.
Fun Within the Community
Through special visits from community helpers and local professionals, children get to learn about the world around them.
These experiences help children connect what they learn in class to the world around them, building confidence and compassion with every adventure.
